My first ability to explore in over two months of lockdown and it was to Chartres in my little rented Fiat 500 bambina. I’m sure Chartres will be even more pretty and alive when the restaurants and terrace cafes can open again.

Your measures are tighter than ours, well done getting through it all without going mad! So delighted you’re able to travel again. The photos of Chartres are beautiful, what a pretty town. And of course the cathedral, sigh. One we’ll visit one day. It must have been lovely to see your colleagues again. Are you allowed to hug? I’ve enjoyed hugging a couple of friends over the week, and of course my sons, YAAAY!!
It was such a great feeling to be able to get out and about! Just need the borders to open again…looks like Europe will be opening up to Europeans for the July holidays. No hugging yet, we still have to maintain 1m distance from everyone. But hey, the local market was open today so that was a pretty happy morning 🙂 I look forward to the hugs!
It must have felt great to get out and about Charlotte and what a beautiful and historic part of the world to be in. I hear that our mum’s are walking around Eastbourne and buying the odd coffee together too, oh to be them! Take care and thanks for sharing your experiences.
Hey Phillippa, nice to hear from you, yes I hear now that Level 2 has arrived, the bubbles are popped and coffees are being had. Mum is filling me in on snippets 🙂
